Scott English Plumbing offers trenchless sewer repair options. This means that, instead of having to dig a trench the entire length of the pipe, remove the old pipe, and install a new one, our sewer experts can repair your sewer pipe with no trench.
We’ll use our video inspection services to look inside the pipes and figure out exactly what the problem is and where it is located. Then we’ll dig just one or two access points to get to the damaged sewer pipe.
There are two ways that we can do trenchless sewer pipe repair: pipe bursting and pipe relining.
The pipe bursting method requires the digging of two access holes, one on each side of the sewer line. A new sewer pipe is pulled through the old, damaged sewer pipe, and the old pipe is fractured, or burst.
Pipe bursting can be performed even if the lateral sewer line has collapsed, providing that there is sufficient space to pull a cable through it.
In the pipe lining, method, a pipe liner, or cured in place pipe, is installed inside the old, damaged pipe. This way, the old pipe doesn’t have to be removed. The plumber will need to create one access hole in order to insert the pipe liner.
The pipe liner is made of a flexible, resin tube. This tube is inserted into the old pipe. Once in place, the tube is inflated. The resin must cure for a few hours, and then you have a solid, new pipe.
Trenchless sewer repair is a cost-effective option. When you have a traditional excavation and sewer repair, there can be extra costs in the form of surprises that come up after the digging begins. There are also additional permits and other expenses. A trenchless repair is more predictable, and you won’t get surprise costs after the job is begun.
Sewer pipe repair isn’t nearly as bad as it used to be. Scott English Plumbing offers options for sewer pipe repair that are fast, easy, and don’t create a huge mess in your yard that you’re left to clean up.
