Faucet Repair is Necessary

The miracle of running water – we turn a faucet in the kitchen or bathroom, and the water that we need instantly appears. Most of the time, anyway.

We count on our plumbing fixtures to keep our households running smoothly, but occasionally the water might stop running properly. You may have a faucet that leaks or a faucet drain that is clogged. At any rate, you’re going to need some help getting them fixed so that you can get back to business as usual.

It can be tricky to fix a faucet yourself, because there are a variety of different types of faucets. They each work a little bit differently. There are compression faucets, ceramic faucets, ball faucets, and sleeve cartridge faucets. Do you know which type you have?

If you have a faucet that’s leaking, call Scott English Plumbing.

Don’t ignore a leak. A leaky faucet that releases one drip every three seconds wastes a whopping total of 86 gallons of water every month. In many cases, fixing that leaky faucet is very simple. It may just need a new washer or O-ring. However, the leak could be caused by corrosion in the pipes.

The qualified plumbers at Scott English Plumbing will determine the root of the problem and get it fixed for you right away.

Don’t just ignore the leak, though. It wastes a ton of water, and the leaking water can cause water damage and mold damage to everything surrounding it.

We can take care of clogged drains at your faucet, as well. Did you know that you can clear a clogged kitchen or bathroom sink drain using a plunger? Keep a separate plunger from the one that is normally used in the toilet just to clear out sink drains.

If you have a double sink, plug the other side with a rag. Then use the plunger to form a seal around the drain, and give it a few good thrusts. Often, this will force the clog down the drain. If that doesn’t do the trick, though, call Scott English Plumbing.

We can use hydro-jets and other advanced equipment to clear out the clog in no time.

We know that it is a major hassle to be without a functional faucet. We’re all used to having access to running water at all times, and trying to get by without it is a major annoyance.
